Correction for Sunday's long run 5/29/11

Hi Everyone, I mistakely posted the long run for Sunday May 29 as being from Spring Farm. It will be at 9am on the Hurley Rail Trail off of Rt 209. Park at intersection (there is a lot)of RT 209 and Russell Road. Russell Road is just before or after the turnoff for going into the Village of Hurley. It's about 1.5 miles north of the "Forest Parking Area" :) steve

Last nights 5/24/11Tempo Run

Hi Everyone, The sun was out and the weather was room. We had a nice tempo run at Spring Farm. It was nice having Gayle M join us. We did approximately 75 min of total running with 30 minutes at tempo pace and then did some "Indian Running" on our way back- good run with good company- Remember the more the merrier. Next week Tuesady 5/31/11 we will meet at Spring farm at 6:15pm. Some people will be doing the final race in the Catskill Mountain Series on Wednesday June 1st but I'm planning on doing the tempo run on Tuesday then "jogging " the race on Wednesday :) steve ps Tempo running on Tuesdays, track work on Fridays and long runs on Sundays makes for a good basis for training.

Workouts for week of 5/23-5/29/11

Hi Everyone, I hope people had a nice Sunday run- I participated in a unique run this morning Sunday5/22- The Art Trail Run we tranveresed some of the favorite painting spots of the Hudson River School of Landscape Artist. Workouts for the upcoming week

Tuesday Night Tempo Run 5/24/11- 6:15pm Spring Farm Trail head approximately 80-90 minutes of running with approximately 30 minutes of tempo run. The workout can be modified to individual needs

Friday Night Track Session 5/27/11- Suny New Paltz track 6pm warmup, faster running begins at 6:30pm. A variety of track intervals totaling 5000-5200 meters. Again, the workout can be modified to individual needs

Sunday Long Run 5/29/11 - tentatively 9am from Spring Farm- I will be working the finish line of the Woodstock Races on Memorial Day so I know I will be at Spring Farm on Sunday :)

Hi, Tomorrow Sunday 5/15/11 our long run will be from the Hurley Rail Trail "forest parking area off of Rt 209 at 9am. On Sunday 5/22/11 we will return to Spring Farm Trailhead(Mohonk Preserve/High Falls) 9am

Our Tuesday Nigh Tempo Run 5/17 is cancelled in lieu of participating in the Olana Star Loop 10k(carriage trails) Wednesday 5/18/11 at Historic Olana in Greensport just across the Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Run/race time is 6:30pm This event will cost a mere $2 and is part of the Catskill Mountain Spring Series

Friday 5/20/11 we will have our Friday Night Track session at Suny New Paltz 6pm warmup and faster running begins at 6:30pm :)
